Hail Damages Jet in Flight

PHILADELPHIA —
Hail tore the nose cone off an Eastern Airlines jet Thursday, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport soon after it left Newark, N. J. None of the 47 people aboard the DC-9 bound for Atlanta were injured, officials said.
