Drawing Released in Death of Baby
Police on Tuesday released a composite drawing of a young woman wanted for questioning in connection with the death of a newborn girl whose body was found in a cemetery garbage can last week.
A Forest Lawn Memorial Park employee reported having seen the woman last Thursday “right in the immediate area, in the same secluded part of the cemetery,” Police Detective Carlos Solorza said. “I think it’s a very good lead.”
The woman was described as white, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, of medium build, 20 to 24 years old, with dirty blonde hair pulled away from her face. She was wearing light-colored shorts and a white T-shirt, Solorza said.
The baby was found dead last Friday inside a garbage can at the north end of the cemetery. Police believe the child, no more than a few days old, may been alive when put there.
