Picnic Cooker Hoses Recalled: Coleman Co., a maker of outdoor picnic gear, is recalling hoses for 30,000 smoker-cookers because of possible fire hazards. The hoses, which connect propane gas tanks of Coleman’s “Cookin’ Machines” to the burner, are being recalled because they may loosen from the valve connection after repeated use, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said. There have been at least five reported incidents of loosened hoses causing fire damage. The hoses are installed on cookers manufactured by the Kansas-based company between November, 1987, and March, 1989. Consumers should stop using the cookers and contact Coleman at 800-835-3278 for free replacement of the hoses.
