Pasadena : City Fees Increasing

Share

The cost of attending city recreation programs, freeing impounded animals, obtaining paramedic ambulance service, buying a bicycle license and receiving many other city services will increase under a fee schedule approved Tuesday by the Board of Directors.

Many of the 1,154 separate fees charged by the city were raised 6.5% to reflect an increased in the consumer price index, said John Ostrowski, the city’s management audit administrator. However, certain library and health department fees will stay the same.

City directors delayed for a week a decision on imposing a new fee to be paid every time a newly surfaced street is dug into for a utility or cable television company. Objections were raised by gas company officials.
