Free Meal Program Serves Pico Rivera’s Welfare Children
The Department of Recreation and Community Services is sponsoring a summer food service program for children. Free meals will be made available to participating children under age 19. Children who are members of food stamp households or welfare assistance units are automatically eligible to receive free meal benefits at the following sites:
Pico Park, 9520 Beverly Blvd.; Rio Hondo Park, 4621 Fir St.; and Pio Pico Recreation Center, 4211 Columbia St.
Lunches will be served Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Pico and Rio Hondo parks and at 11:45 a.m. at Pio Pico Recreation Center.
