Taxiing in a New Century
What’s a good birthday present for a 100-year-old woman who has taken Dial-a-Ride every day for 14 years? A lifetime pass, of course.
Arcadia officials on Wednesday honored Rose Foreman who turned 100 on July 5, with a certificate of achievement and a lifetime pass for the quasi-taxi service.
Foreman has lived in Arcadia since 1947.
“It was a dual honor,” said David Feinberg, the city administrative assistant in charge of the Dial-a-Ride program. “She was honored for being 100 years old, and for using the city’s Dial-a-Ride program since 1975.”
