2 Hurt as 143 Evacuate Smoke-Filled Jetliner

ORLANDO, Fla. —
Smoke boiled into the cabin and cockpit of an American Airlines jet, prompting an emergency evacuation and two injuries, the airline reported.
The McDonnell Douglas Super 80 was taxiing toward takeoff Sunday when smoke appeared in the cabin. The 137 passengers and six crew members aboard the flight evacuated the jet on four inflatable chutes.
