3 Take Out Forms for Mayoralty Race
Inglewood Mayor Edward Vincent may face two challengers, a councilman and a former councilman, in his bid for a third term in November.
Vincent, Councilman Anthony Scardenzan and former councilman Virgle Benson all took out nomination papers from the City Clerk’s office this week, city officials said. In order to qualify for the election, they must return the papers with 20 signatures by Aug. 10, city officials said.
Scardenzan has been a councilman since 1981. Benson served on the council from 1983 until 1987, when he missed the filing deadline for reelection.
