The Chargers have agreed to contract terms with backup quarterback David Archer and two more draft choices.

The draft choices are tight end Derrick Walker, a seventh-round selection from Michigan, and H-back Tommie Stowers, an 11th-rounder from Missouri.

Archer has agreed to a two-year contract that will pay him approximately $300,000 per year, his agent, Steve Feldman of Newport Beach, said Wednesday.

Archer, 28, came to the Chargers last season as a free agent after he was released by Washington. He completed five of 12 passes for 62 yards with one interception and also was the holder on placements.

Walker, 6-feet-0 1/2 and 244 pounds, was the last of four Charger draft choices in the sixth round and the 163rd player taken overall. He caught 12 passes for 110 yards and three touchdowns as a senior.

Walker’s agent, Thom Darden of Cleveland, declined to provide terms of the agreement.

Stowers, 6-3 and 225, played fullback for Missouri, where last season he led the team in rushing for the second consecutive year with 547 yards and six touchdowns. He was second on the team in receptions with 28 for 268 yards. He was the 283rd player selected overall.

No terms of Stowers’ contract were released by the Chargers in announcing his signing.

The agreements leave the Chargers with nine veterans and seven draft choices who have not come to contract agreements. The Chargers open training camp at UC San Diego Friday with rookies and selected veterans reporting.
