The Rams have yet to sign two top draft choices, and Coach John Robinson expressed apparent league-wide frustration at what has become an annual ritual.

“It’s obviously a destructive process for everyone but the agents,” Robinson said. “Holdouts hurt the team and the player.

“It’s hard enough for any rookie to make the adjustment from college to the pros. When they miss a great deal of training camp, their rookie seasons become very difficult.

“It’s crazy that we’re paying huge amounts of money to these kids, who are so far behind they can’t begin to help you until their second seasons.”

Center Bern Brostek, a first-round pick from Washington, and safety Pat Terrell, a second-rounder from Notre Dame, entered the ninth day of their holdouts today.
