Tandem Computers Inc.: The Cupertino, Calif., computer company said third-quarter net income rose 29% to a record $32.4 million, while revenue climbed 12% to $472 million. The firm said its products, particularly the new Integrity S2 UNIX-based computer system, its NonStop Cyclone computer system and its intelligent networking offerings continue to be well received.
