Heat Signs Former Toro Player
Lucky Temisanren, who played soccer at Cal State Dominguez Hills, has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Heat.
Temisanren, a defender from Nigeria, is expected to be in uniform today at 4 p.m. when the Heat plays host to the San Francisco Blackhawks at West Torrance High. He replaces Mark Evans, who has been injured.
General Manager Jill Fracisco said the Heat is close to signing a deal to show at least the final two home games of the season on Paragon Cable in Torrance. Cablecasting today’s game with San Francisco is also possible, Fracisco said, if the deal is completed and technical equipment can be rounded up in time.
Dominguez Hills soccer Coach Marine Cano, who is also the backup goalie for the Heat, is being considered as a color commentator.
