See the Show, Read the Book, Drink the Coffee!: Put down that cherry pie, “Twin Peaks” fans. Coming to a store near you soon will be official items developed by the quirky soap opera’s executive producers, David Lynch and Mark Frost. In addition to the previously announced sound-track album due in September, the Pocket Books division of Simon & Schuster is scheduled to publish “The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer,” the murdered homecoming queen who was the subject of last season’s whodunit. The book will be written by Lynch’s 22-year-old daughter, Jennifer. Frost is also planning to write a prequel to “Twin Peaks” that will detail the history of the town before Palmer’s murder. Also coming up is a tape containing FBI Agent Dale Cooper’s (Kyle MacLachlan) dictations to his unseen secretary, Diane. On the drawing boards are two more novels, and possibly “Twin Peaks” pie and coffee.
