Video Profits Given to Schools for Bus

A video store owner this month presented the Saddleback Valley Education Foundation a check for $39,577 to help buy a new school bus.

The check fulfills a promise by Robbie Lee, owner of 13 Video City stores, to donate the gross receipts from his Mission Viejo store for June to the foundation. The Saddleback Valley Education Foundation is a fund-raising support group of the Saddleback Valley Unified School District.

Lee’s check will pay part of the $100,000 needed for a new school bus to be used to transport elementary school students on academic field trips, said Valmere Kranak, foundation president.
