Tiffany Announces Expansion: Upscale jeweler Tiffany & Co., with trumpeters and red carpets heralding the arrival of guests, staged a glitzy ceremony to showcase its plans for a major expansion of its California operations. The company said it would open a new store--its largest outside of its flagship New York location--on Oct. 23 at the Two Rodeo Drive shopping center at Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive. Tiffany has operated a store in Beverly Hills since 1965. It moved into its current location at the elegant Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in 1967, and will close that location when it opens the new store.
