Actress Sigourney Weaver and the producers and director of the hit monster film “Aliens” sued 20th Century Fox, claiming the studio devoured their profits.

The suit was filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of Weaver, writer-director James Cameron, producer Gale Anne Hurd and executive producer Gordon Carroll.

The suit contends Fox withheld profits, breaching contracts that guaranteed the four plaintiffs certain percentages of net profits from the 1986 film.

Representatives for the studio were not available for comment late Tuesday. Net profit figures were not immediately available.

Weaver claims she was to receive 10% of the net profits, according to the suit.

The suit also contends Cameron was to get 10.5% and Hurd 5%. It seeks an unspecified amount in damages.

Weaver starred in both the 1979 “Alien” and its sequel, “Aliens.”
