Program to Mark Hiroshima Attack
The 45th anniversary of the first use of atomic weapons will be marked when actor Edward James Olmos hosts the Hiroshima/ Nagasaki Commemorative Peace Program on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Los Angeles Baha’i Center Auditorium, 5755 Rodeo Road. Admission is free.
The theme, “No More Hiroshimas,” will feature Kaz Suyeishi, a survivor of the Hiroshima blast; actress Jude Narita, performing a monologue about a child’s view of the atomic bombing, and the Hiroshima Peace Flame.
The event is sponsored by the Los Angeles Baha’i Community, Atomic Bomb Survivors of the U.S., and the Asian-Pacific Americans for Nuclear Awareness (APANA). Information: (213) 933-8291
