Share

Two employees at the United Artists theater in the Brea Mall were bound hand and foot and robbed of a car and an undetermined amount of money early Wednesday morning, police said.

As the two male employees prepared to leave the building, two men forced them to the floor, tied them up and stole their possessions, along with the money from the register and box office, said Brea Police Detective Gran Gulickson.

Police said the robbers apparently had purchased tickets and hid in the theater after the end of the movie before robbing the employees about 1 a.m. Among the personal possessions taken were a 1968 Mustang belonging to one of the employees.
