CAMARILLO : Flandrick Selected as City Attorney

J. Robert Flandrick, a lawyer with the Los Angeles firm of Burke, Williams & Sorensen, was appointed city attorney in Camarillo Wednesday.
Flandrick, who fills the position beginning Sept. 1, takes over duties from Colin Lennard, city attorney for the past seven years. Lennard is leaving Burke, Williams & Sorensen to pursue a career in environmental law with the international firm of Morrison & Foerster. The city of Camarillo has contracted for city attorney services with Burke, Williams & Sorensen since its incorporation in 1964.
Flandrick, a specialist in municipal law, now serves as city attorney for Bell and Baldwin Park. He has served as special counsel for Los Angeles, Pasadena, Bakersfield and Arcadia.
He joined Burke, Williams & Sorensen in 1960, but left in 1964 to form his own partnership. He rejoined the firm in 1976.
He received his bachelor of law degree and juris doctorate degree from the University of Southern California.
