Just Like the Good Old Days: Madonna’s chief bodyguard apologized for roughing up a newspaper photographer in Barcelona, Spain, who tried to snap the pop star jogging along a busy street this week. Security guard Marcus Johnson went to El Periodico de Cataluna’s newsroom Wednesday to apologize to the photographer, Juan Valganon, the newspaper reported Thursday. Meanwhile, in Italy Thursday, the Vatican newspaper criticized the country’s state-run television network for broadcasting Madonna’s Barcelona concert. In a commentary, L’Osservatore Romano said the live broadcast of Wednesday night’s concert violated “good sense, good taste and decency.”
