Library Closing
The Beverly Hills Public Library will be closed from 6 p.m. Aug. 17 to 10 a.m. Sept. 5 so that city workers can return the library collection to its newly renovated building.
The ornate library, which has been expanded from 30,000 to 90,000 square feet, will be completely automated when it reopens in September, city officials said. Hours will be expanded to 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
