Re restaurant critic Ruth Reichl’s “Child’s Play,” Aug. 5:

There is no way in the world that I would ever consider taking a child as poorly behaved as Rocco to any restaurant.

I have a 15-month-old boy who would never be permitted to be so disruptive. There is no excuse for letting a child steal spoons, wreaking havoc at the fountain or running amok in a restaurant.
