West Covina : Mall Developers Sought
City officials are seeking developers to renovate a 33-year-old mall into a high-volume retail shopping center.
The Redevelopment Agency on Monday unanimously approved a request to begin soliciting proposals from developers for the Eastland Center shopping mall on the San Bernardino Freeway at Barranca Avenue.
The agency wants developers to lure customers from throughout the San Gabriel Valley with multimedia advertising. Each proposal is expected to include the entire 57 acres of Eastland Center. The agency, however, will have the right to consolidate, mix or match proposals.
