Narcotics officers have seized 1,531 pounds of cocaine, most of it from a Yorba Linda house, and arrested two Colombians, police said today.
Assistant Police Chief David Dotson said the investigation that led to the cocaine seizure and arrests involved the Los Angeles, Brea and Santa Ana police departments, the FBI and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Dotson declined to say how narcotics officers were tipped to the drug, citing an ongoing investigation.
He said the 1,531 pounds of cocaine represent the largest amount of the drug seized this year by the Los Angeles Police Department and the fifth largest cache in the city’s history.
