VENTURA : Man, 18, Killed in Traffic Accident

An 18-year-old Ventura man was killed in a car accident Friday when another vehicle struck him on the driver’s side as he was making a left-hand turn in an intersection, Ventura police said.
The man died of multiple injuries at 3 p.m. in the Ventura County Medical Center’s operating room, Deputy Coroner Mitch Breese said.
Breese said he hoped to notify the man’s relatives by this morning.
The victim’s 16-year-old passenger, a girl from Ventura, remains at the medical center in stable condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The man, traveling north on Montgomery Avenue, entered the intersection about 1:20 p.m. to turn west onto Henderson Road, Officer Rick French said.
