Lasorda’s Style in Need of a Major Overhaul

Despite the fact the Dodgers remain in the race, it is time to take a look at their outfield, which resembles something from an oldtimers game. Gibson, Brooks and Daniels, all of whom exhibit hitting prowess, are a liability afield. None have the legs, youth and/or fielding skills to perform collectively on a championship team. I cringe when a ball is hit to the gap or down the line. Of course, there is comfort in knowing Mickey Hatcher could always be summoned as a defensive replacement.
