Selected club rides around Orange County:

* Laguna Hills Bicycle Club: Sponsored by BS Bicisport Bicycles at the corner of La Paz and Moulton Parkway, this U.S. Cycling Federation club offers both weekday and weekend rides for experienced cyclists. Marcel Calborn, a former European professional rider who also markets custom bikes in his own name, offers coaching for this fast-paced group. Training rides of 21 miles start at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Weekend (Saturday, Sunday) rides of 36 to 70 miles begin at 7 a.m. The pace is moderate to extremely fast. * Orange County Wheelmen: One of the largest bicycle clubs in America, the Wheelmen offer both weekday and weekend rides for all levels of ability. Weekend rides are divided into various levels of experience. Distances vary. The club also sponsors century rides and other special events. * Bicycle Club of Irvine: Like the Wheelmen, this club offers both touring and recreational rides with all levels of experience. Weekday and weekend rides are offered. For information on rides and membership, call (714) 854-8106.
