Brass Lamp Recall Announced: The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the voluntary recalls were of brass floor lamps made by Santa Fe Springs-based Coaster Co. of America. The lamps, featuring planters or a glass tea table, might electrocute someone even when turned off, the commission said. A child was electrocuted by such a lamp in Alaska, the commission said. For more information, California residents should call (213) 944-7899. Others should call (800) 221-9699.
