Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in which two men in ski masks attacked a 19-year-old late Sunday.
Mario Heredia of La Habra was standing in the 300 block of East Gray Street about 10:50 p.m. when the incident occurred. Police believe the shooting was gang-related.
The suspects reportedly drove by Heredia once in a Nissan Sentra then turned and drove back toward him. A passenger in the car fired a shotgun at Heredia, hitting him in the left arm and leg. Both men remain at large, police said.
Heredia was taken to Friendly Hills Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
“We have very little information so far,” Sgt. Perry Miller said. “In situations like this, you sometimes get a lot of conflicting statements.”
