Politicians Cited for Free Clinic Aid

Share

The Times’ article about the Los Angeles Free Clinic’s expansion into Hollywood was most appreciated. The need for services in the Hollywood area is so urgent that the project has support from three local government entities. The county of Los Angeles, through the office of Supervisor Ed Edelman, has allocated $225,000 from the Community Development Commission, the city of Los Angeles, through the office of Councilman Michael Woo has allocated $750,000 from the Community Redevelopment Agency, and the state of California, through the office of Sen. David Roberti, has allocated $325,000 of California Health Financing Authority funding.

We appreciate this opportunity to recognize those politicians who have supported the clinic over the years and who continue to stand by us as we redouble our efforts to serve those who have no other access to care.
