Hitler, Again: Former President Ronald Reagan has joined President Bush and others in likening Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to Adolf Hitler. In a weekend speech in Houston, Reagan called Hussein the “reincarnation of Hitler.”

Speaking in Tongues: Jamie Charles Bakker, 14, son of imprisoned evangelist Jim Bakker, has had a religious experience, according to his mother, Tammy Faye. She said Jamie attended a Baptist summer camp and began to speak in tongues. “ ‘Mom, Mom, you won’t believe what happened to me,’ ” he told her on coming home. “ ‘Mom, I cried for five days straight and Mom, I spoke in a language I couldn’t understand. I couldn’t stop, Mom.’ ” The Bakkers believe speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift in which a person speaks in an unknown language.

Home Cookin’: The first Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant has been turned into a museum. Businessman John R. Neal, who owns the facility in Corbin, Ky., will reopen it on Sunday, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Col. Harland Sanders, the chain’s founder. The museum, in southeastern Kentucky, will have period appliances and linoleum. Neal says the restaurant is where Sanders developed his famous “secret” recipe and his pressure-cooker technique. Neal’s company owns 87 of the fast-food empire’s 8,000 worldwide outlets.

Booked: Drop the novel. Step away from the car. You’re under arrest for having an overdue library book. A Massachusetts state law signed by Gov. Michael S. Dukakis, which goes into effect Thursday, would allow police to take into custody library scofflaws if they have received notice that their books are 30 days overdue. Those who steal books worth more than $250 can also be jailed. “Books are not cheap,” state library consultant Gregor Trinkaus-Randall said. “I’m not even talking about rare books. An art book can cost $100 or more.”
