Ramps, Lanes to Close for Freeway Widening
Several Ventura Freeway entrance and exit ramps and portions of several lanes will be closed this weekend as work continues on the freeway widening project, the state Department of Transportation announced Thursday.
The following ramps are to be closed from 11 p.m. Friday to 11 a.m. Saturday: eastbound Burbank Boulevard on-ramp, eastbound Vanalden Avenue on-ramp, eastbound Sepulveda Boulevard on-ramp, eastbound Van Nuys Boulevard off-ramp, westbound White Oak Avenue on-ramp and the westbound Balboa Boulevard on-ramp.
Also closed during that period will be up to three eastbound lanes between Tampa and Lindley avenues, and between the San Diego Freeway interchange and Van Nuys Boulevard.
From 11 p.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday, closures will be: eastbound Sepulveda Boulevard on-ramp, eastbound Van Nuys Boulevard on- and off-ramps and up to three eastbound lanes between the San Diego Freeway interchange and Woodman Avenue.
The northbound San Diego Freeway connector road to the eastbound Ventura Freeway will be closed from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. both days, officials said.
