Forward Roy Tarpley of the Dallas Mavericks was put on two years’ probation for driving while under the influence of alcohol in Dallas last year--an arrest that led to his third suspension from the NBA team, which caused him to miss 33 games last season.
Tarpley was arrested last Nov. 15 on a Dallas freeway and charged with driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
