SANTA ANA : Man Fatally Stabbed on Street Identified
Police on Friday identified a 24-year-old Santa Ana man who was fatally stabbed during an apparent drug transaction.
Juventino Prieto Gutierrez died late Thursday night at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana from a single stab wound to his chest, police said.
Police found Gutierrez lying in the street on the 800 block of South Townsend Street.
Next to him was a small bag of what investigators believe were drugs, police said.
“We’re speculating it was a drug-involved situation,” Santa Ana Police Lt. Charles Magdalena said.
There were no suspects in the killing, Magdalena said.
