VIDEORGY: Who’s the latest show-biz starlet to take a spin behind the video camera? Would you believe . . . Lisa Bonet! That’s right. The TV starlet (and spouse of guitarist Lenny Kravitz) is making her rock video directing debut, handling “It Never Rains in Southern California,” the next single by Tony! Toni! Tone! . . . And who is that craven hussy who gives her hapless boyfriend such a hard time in John Hiatt’s new video, “Bring Back Your Love?” Why none other than actress Ally Sheedy, who’s such a Hiatt fan that she happily volunteered her time to moonlight in his promo clip. . . . Too Much Joy, that gang of rambunctious rockers whose new album is just out from Giant Records, thankfully don’t have any scantily clad pop tarts in their new video. But they do have a rap celeb in the clip--LL Cool J. And how appropriate, considering that the Joy boys’ new single, “That’s a Lie,” was an old Cool J tune (penned by Cool J and ex-Def Jam wiz Rick Rubin). Our fave part of the video shows Cool J hanging with the band, saying “I’ve known ‘em for years, from the uh, guy on the right to the, uh, guy on the left. . . . They come to the house frequently--their mothers love me.”
