Bichette Named Angel of the Week

Outfielder Dante Bichette, who has hit .407 in his last 21 games, has been named Angel of the Week by The Times’ Orange County Edition.

In that span, he was seven for 14 with two doubles, a home run, two runs and two runs batted in, raising his batting average to .262. His 15 home runs is a professional best, one more than he hit for triple-A Edmonton in 1988.

A check for $250 in Bichette’s name will be given to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Orange County.
