Fujitsu to Make Fault-Tolerant Computers: In moving into the fault-tolerant market, Fujitsu Ltd. of Japan, which last week upstaged IBM in unveiling a line of mainframe computers, is extending its challenge to other U.S. rivals. Fault-tolerant computers have high levels of backup facilities to ensure smooth operation even when portions of a system fail.
