Father Arrested in Death of Boy, 3
A 21-year-old Los Angeles man has been arrested for investigation of murder after his 3-year-old son was dead on arrival at a hospital in West Los Angeles, police said Tuesday.
Erick Walkup was arrested after physicians at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center discovered numerous bruises on the body of his son, Robert, when the boy died Monday, investigators said.
Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy before seeking charges against the elder Walkup, said Detective Joan Wolfe.
