Madison Race Is Added to Bicycling Card

A special 60-lap Madison race has been added to the card for tonight’s Golden State Grand Prix bicycling series at the Olympic Velodrome at Cal State Dominguez Hills.

The high-speed Madison features two-man teams that operate as in a relay, grabbing hands and slinging each other out of the curves for greater velocity.

The race series will also include miss-and-out, relay and scratch competition for higher-rated riders as well as races for women, veterans and juniors. Racing begins at 7 p.m. Registration opens at 6.
