STATE : Crowd Roots for 4 in Sex Attack
A 22-year-old woman was sexually assaulted outside a Sacramento nightclub while onlookers shouted sexual epithets and urged her attackers on, according to police reports.
Police said the woman and her 26-year-old girlfriend were walking across the parking lot of the Coco Palms Night Club to their car when the attack occurred about 1:25 a.m. Sunday. The two were confronted by four men, and an angry exchange apparently occurred. Witnesses said a crowd gathered at the scene and that some people shouted encouragement to the attackers. Four Sacramento men were arrested for attempted rape and conspiracy to commit a felony.
