NEW YORK — The makers of Fuji film said today they will replace the plastic canisters in which their film is sold in the United States with paper ones as an environmental measure.
In addition, Fuji Photo Film U.S.A. Inc. said most Fuji film boxes will be made from recycled paper.
The new film canisters are made of moisture-proof paper that the Japanese company said it developed with its own technology. It said the containers provide the same protection as plastic ones.
