2 Loaded Freight Trailers Stolen

Two freight trailers, one loaded with Christmas mugs and plastic tumblers, were stolen from a freight company's parking lot across from the Northeast Division police station on San Fernando Road in Glassell Park, Los Angeles police said Tuesday.

Employees noticed the trailers missing from the lot in the 3400 block of San Fernando Road Tuesday morning and notified police, said Officer Enrique Conrado.

Police believe a tractor rig was used to haul the trailers off the lot sometime between Friday afternoon and Tuesday morning.

Other empty and more accessible trailers were ignored, police said. The trailers had arrived at the facility Friday from docks in San Pedro.

One of the trailers contained about $33,000 worth of mugs and plastic tumblers and the other contained about $46,000 worth of an unknown type of gift sets.
