From Times Staff and Wire Reports

A Navy wife arrested on charges of buying a newborn baby for $3,000 may have bought and sold as many as 10 children from her home, investigators in Jacksonville said. Nellie Cutright, 45, of Mayport, Fla., was arrested Wednesday and held in the Duval County Jail on $50,000 bond on charges of child buying, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and $5,000 fine, and insurance fraud. Investigators claim Cutright used her military insurance to cover the mother’s hospital delivery costs.
