The former Cheryl Neuenschwander, who has been married to Trojan Coach Larry Smith for almost 25 years, told Nancy Mazmanian of USC’s sports information office: “I kid Larry that I went around looking for a Smith or a Jones, and the first Smith that I liked, I married--anything to get rid of that awful last name.”
