American Mobile Systems Inc., a Woodland Hills operator of mobile radio systems, said its vice chairman, Richard G. Somers, purchased 500,000 shares of the company’s treasury stock for $1.06 million. Treasury stock is non-voting stock that is held by the issuing company and is not eligible for dividends.
