Democratic state Assembly candidate Luanne Pryor will speak today in the first of the forums being held at the college. Republican candidate Thomas J. Mays, the mayor of Huntington Beach, will speak on Wednesday.

A different format is planned for Thursday’s forum, which includes 1st District Supervisor Harriett M. Wieder and challenger Joy L. Neugebauer.

Wieder and Neugebauer will engage in a debate to be moderated by Thomas Chambers, a Golden West professor of political science and English. The Wieder-Neugebauer debate will conclude with a question-and-answer session.

The forums begin at 12:30 p.m. at the college’s student center.
