Margaret H. Bellamy; Eucharistic Minister

Margaret H. Bellamy, a Eucharistic minister at a Tujunga Catholic church and owner of a religious gift store in Montrose, died in Mission Hills. She was 80.

Mrs. Bellamy died Thursday after being hit by a car while walking to work, said her daughter, Mary Eileen DeLaTorre.

Born Margaret H. Boehm, she moved to Tujunga in 1945 and joined Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister for the last eight years. In 1965, she opened Bellamy’s Religious Gifts in the Montrose, operating it until her death.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Raymond Bellamy; a son, Jerry Bellamy of Santa Barbara; daughters Mary Eileen DeLaTorre of Castaic and Marsha Senninger of Radcliff, Ky.; brothers John Boehm of Sunland and Frank Boehm of Red Bluff, Calif.; and nine grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday with burial at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills. Bade Mortuary in Tujunga handled the arrangements.
