Jim Knaub Wins Wheelchair Race

Jim Knaub of Long Beach finished a 53-mile marathon course in 3 hours 1 minute 1.64 seconds to win the Wheelchair Race of Champions Tuesday in Washington.
Knaub edged Ken Carnes of Morningside, Md., by 0.29 seconds and earned $6,500.
The marathon started in Purcellville, Va., and continued through Leesburg, Sterling Park, Herndon, Reston, Fairfax, Vienna, Falls Church and Arlington before ending in Washington.
