Feinstein, Wilson Campaigns for Governorship
Your coverage of Sen. Pete Wilson is pathetically polite and toothless. Have you forgotten that Wilson is still the junior senator from California and will be called on to vote on some very tough issues this fall? I want to know if Wilson will support Republican attempts to cut the capital gains tax for the rich. Does Wilson agree that our deduction for state and local taxes should be taken away? Does Wilson have any proposal for balancing the federal budget?
If Wilson believes that we should cut federal spending, where should the cuts come from--education, health care, social spending or defense?
There are more important issues than President Bush raising money for Pete Wilson. How about reporting on them? My personal rights and my pocketbook may depend on the answers you get.
