State health officials on Friday ordered cartons of possibly contaminated milk and cream off store shelves in Los Angeles County after salmonella bacteria was found in test samples.

The products that are being removed are certain containers of Stueve’s Natural raw certified whole and nonfat milk and all-purpose cream. The affected lots are coded with the following dates: OCT 08D, OCT 09D, OCT 10D, OCT 11D, OCT 12D, OCT 13D and OCT 14D.

Consumers who have purchased Stueve’s Natural products with these lot numbers were advised not to consume them.

All counties in the state were to receive notice of the possible contamination, and the manufacturer has stopped distribution of raw milk products from the affected batch, officials said.
